I'm a proud liberal/progressive professional student, who also happens to be a military spouse.

Most relevant to this blog, I am unabashedly liberal/progressive. I am particularly interested in how political issues are framed by politicians, campaigns, and the media. I love politics and I love writing. I also love my MacBook, so blogging seems to be a natural fit.

I am also working on bachelor's degree #2 for teaching certification in secondary English education. (I already have a BA in English, with a minor in Women's Studies.)

For fun, I play clarinet. I'd classify myself as a serious amateur. I enjoy hunt seat riding -- I started taking riding lessons almost 3 years ago, and I love it. I occasionally knit, although I am not very good at it.

I have two cats who are enough 'kids' for me at this point in my life. I also am leasing a terrific Quarter Horse, who is very forgiving of my mistakes and loves attention.
